Junk Mail Avalanche… How to stop the onslaught!

This past week I got to catch up with a client who I have met with about 2-3 times a year over the past several years.  Yes, that is correct… getting organized is not a one and done kind of thing.  Getting organized and staying on top of a dynamic life full of work, hobbies, home and family, as many of you know, is a lot of work.  Thankfully she and I have forged a sweet relationship and she proudly calls me in for back up!

She has a mail issue, can anyone relate.  She keeps a lovely home and you would never know when you enter her tidy main level that she has hidden away boxes and boxes of papers, mail, catalogs and cards (thankfully not bills.)  So a few times a year, when it has become too overwhelming, she give me a call and I come, and we sort and toss and file….

Always Time For Thanks

Once again we find ourselves asking where the year went as we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays.

No sooner was Halloween over when I spied Christmas decorations out in full swing at the local Mart.

WAIT!!! What happened to Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving is my husband’s favorite holiday. No gifts, no decorations. Just time to break bread with loved ones, enjoy their company, and be grateful for the abundance we have.

Abundance: a relative degree of plentifulness; a large portion of something.

Do you have abundance in your life? What are you thankful for in this season of your life?

I am thankful for you! I am thankful that God gave me the talents He did to help others like you!  And to show that appreciation I would love to invite you to my Holiday Open House.

Happy New Year Kick Off Class

Well it was a whirl wind of a year end!  December brought new opportunities to grow my business, new clients and new products!  MAS Movement LLC finished its best year ever, doubling previous years’ gross revenues!!!

I have found it a bit daunting to pick up momentum in the new year 2013. But there is no time like the present to change perspective and start moving ahead.

My goal this year is to reach more people who hate clutter, people who are overwhelmed, people who want to take back their time and space, people who need a lot of help, people who need a little, people just considering doing something different.  Are any of these people you?

To kick off the new year, January 22 MAS Movement LLC will be hosting a FREE time management class at the Franciscan Retreat Center in Peregrine  off  Woodman Road.

“Perfect” Timing

Timing is everything.  Whether we call it a coincidence or answer to prayer… I believe most things happen at the right time.

Today I met a client with familiar obstacles: too much stuff, too little time, too little motivation and not enough help.

Can I help her get a handle on the cluttered rooms, find a system that works for her and encourage her to build habits that will bring calm to her space?  I will do my best.  Could we have started before now? Possibly, but the bottom line is that she is ready now.  And here is the kicker… she picked up my business card over 3 years ago!!!

So what takes a person so long to make a decision or do something different?  Procrastination, fear, unrealistic expectations of themselves or other? Maybe a bit of each of these.

Remember that “margin” thing I spoke of, well when my kids arrived home early from their grandparents, Colorado caught on fire and a colleague called and ask if she could hand off a client to me due to a family emergency – all bets were OFF!

Margin

MAS Movement LLC’s first official sale was a huge success. My team and I still have plenty of work to do to clear away what was left. Charity, scrap metal, hazardous waste, eBay and general recycling have yet to be sorted, we have a few days of work ahead before we can broadcast our final numbers.

But what a weekend! Summer is in full swing… vacations to look forward to, landscape projects coming to fruition, calendar booked with clients and then HICCUPS. Family illness effects our travel. A major storm thwarts our backyard plans. And a single job takes twice as long as expected causing cancellations. Am I just complaining about being too busy? Certainly no complaints here, but a great opportunity to revisit the “margin” in my schedule
